Can not import apple calendar.ics into outlook for mac 2016 How is one supposed to import apple calendar data into outlook for mac 2016 calendar? When you click on import with outlook for mac 2016, there is no option for apple calendar imports, only outlook calendar imports. If you have the.ics file, Right click on the same and choose. In the following table, you can find a list of programs that can open files with.ics extension. This list is created by collecting extension information reported by users through the 'send report' option of FileTypesMan utility. The product name, description, and company name are taken from the version information of the.exe file. The 'Actions' list is taken from the context menu items added. Open an.ics file or create a new one. You'll need to use a text editing application that can save.ics files. Format your file according to the guidelines below. You can export an.ics file from Google Calendar to use as an example. When you're done, save the file as an.ics file. I've created an.ics file with multiple events that I would like to add to Outlook as a new calendar (so I can easily remove it). If I double click the.ics file, the events get added to my current calendar (not a new one). I can't find a menu item to add or import a calendar either.
I have OS X ElC Vers 10.11.6 with outlook vers 15.23
I would like to add calender events showing in web pages using Safari 9.1.3 (this events are travel schedules, meetings, etc.). Safari downloads the .ics file into the downloads folder, then the OS starts the calender app (vers 8.0) for opening the .ics file. However, I would like to see it opening in outlook automatically (and there are several reasons for that).
What I tried so far go to the downloads folder, click on 'open with ...', click, 'other program', choose the outlook app, check the 'always open with' checkbox. And the.ics files opens with outlook. However, the next time the system has forgotten about and the behavior as described happens again. I see the default .ics app is the calenderfilehandler.app, is there a way to configure this. Or is the problem in the OS not remembering to open a file with a certain application?
